Mendocino
Introduction
Mendocino County is a county located on the north coast of California. The California State government’s population bureau lists a January 1, 2006 estimate of 88,109. The county seat is Ukiah. The county is noted for its distinctive Pacific Ocean coastline and is the location of the Mendocino American Viticultural Area. Mendocino County was one of the original counties of California, created in 1850 at the time of statehood.
