This packaged resource, the Knowledge Transfer guide, derives from the Master Plan for the Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP). It is intended to translate the missions and goals of the Master Plan into implementation recommendations for the initial start-up of LAUP, called Early Launch.
Special Needs is one of the nine sections of the LAUP Knowledge Transfer guide, authored by the Special Needs task team, and insures that LAUP remains responsive to the needs of children with disabilities and other special needs during its start-up phase.
The objectives set by the Special Needs Task Team were to:
