San Mateo Strategic Plan (2002)

First 5 San Mateo County (formerly known as the Children and Families First Commission) is committed to thoughtful planning and allocation of resources based on the greatest identified needs of children 0 through 5 years of age and their families. The Proposition 10 funds available to San Mateo County, generated from additional state sales tax on tobacco products which the Commission administers, are approximately $9.5 million for FY 2002-03. This major revision to the initial Strategic Plan reaffirms the Commission’s mission and core values, and presents updated needs assessment data that support the planned strategic direction over the next couple of years.
