This report presents pilot data for the Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) rating system for early childhood education in Ohio. Data for the general analyses are based on 282 child care centers. 30.2 percent of centers have had parents report that SUTQ was important in choosing the center. 50 percent of centers and 39 percent of parents indicate participation in SUTQ has improved the quality of child care in the center. 73 percent of centers responded that it was likely or very likely SUTQ benchmarks will lead to continued improvement.
