Poverty and Early Childhood Educational Intervention

In this policy brief, the authors review the literature concerning the long-term effects of early intervention for children in poverty, present statistics on the associations between poverty and key young adult outcomes as well as the findings from the follow-up of the Abecedarian participants and estimates from the cost-benefit analysis. Implications of these findings and suggestions for future research are also discussed.
