Lake Strategic Plan (2006)

Based on guidance from the State Commission, the Lake County Children and Families Commission, herein known as First 5 Lake County, initiated a process in 2000 to develop a strategic plan to locally implement the Children and Families Act of 1998. Since that time, the Commission has conducted an annual review of its plan. Minor modifications or refinements have occurred. It is therefore, appropriate at this time to re-state the plan and incorporate all of the refinements.

The strategic plan is not intended to be a static document. It is however, built upon a sound foundation of two guiding principles known as the Vision and Mission statements. These two principles continue to guide the Commission in its planning and implementation functions.
