The intent of this document is to provide a structured methodology for conducting a preliminary analysis of the facilities needed for an expanded preschool program in given geographic areas. Designed to be used during the planning phase, it will assist in making rough estimates of the supply of existing classrooms, the need for new classrooms, and associated costs.
This document contains both the directions for the Facilities Scan for Preschool Expansion as well as the active excel tool created by the Low Income Investment Fund for facilities calculations. Please note that the document is in excel format with non-protected cells and formulas.
This document is part of the California Preschool Planning Toolkit.
