Educare of Omaha, Inc.: Omaha, Nebraska

In Leading Early Childhood Learning Communities, the National Association of Elementary School Principals set standards to help principals become effective leaders of prekindergarten (PK) programs in their schools and communities. In that publication, NAESP recommended that PK be part of an early learning continuum. In order to build a strong platform for children's academic and social success, PK experiences must be tied to experiences children have each subsequent year until they finish the third grade. Each PK-3 experience must build on the previous one in deliberate ways to maximize learning for children.

This brief focuses on the PK-3 program in Omaha, Nebraska.
