Coordination with Existing Systems Task Team [KTB, Section 1]

This packaged resource, the Knowledge Transfer guide, derives from the Master Plan for the Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP). It is intended to translate the missions and goals of the Master Plan into implementation recommendations for the initial start-up of LAUP, called Early Launch.

Coordination with Existing Systems is one of the nine sections of the LAUP Knowledge Transfer guide, created to ensure that the new system will effectively build upon the existing early care and education delivery system.

Coordination with Existing Systems focuses on:

  • Taking inventory of existing funding streams, including programmatic features and fiscal requirements
  • Illustrating approaches to blending LAUP with other public and private funds and anticipate barriers to collaboration
  • Considering strategies to leverage existing systems, particularly services provided by the Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies and services to children with special needs.
