Futures In Management Institute

When:Sat March 14, 2009 at 7:30 am
Where:San Mateo County Office of Education

Event Description:
This past year The Children’s Collabrium developed a FIMI entitled “Preparing your Program for New Opportunities”. This one day institute is targeted for early care and education center–based programs which are possibly interested in modifying its programs/services in response to the changing economy or expanding its program and /or services, including but not limited to, Preschool for All. This FIMI focuses on assessing whether the organization is ready to take on and manage new projects and/or services successfully or better manage the current ones by looking at how its organization is currently operating. It offers tools and resources to assist organizations in this assessment and introduces an action plan to help programs learn where to start to make the necessary improvements. This institute benefits programs that are considering becoming PFA sites as well as those possibly seeking to expand in other ways. It also provides an excellent opportunity for both new and experienced administrative staff to review the necessary nuts and bolts of what makes a program operate successfully and to reflect on the status of their own programs.
